How Noomi works

Last updated

Noomi is a pocket device you rent for the dates of your trip. It's both an unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot and a phone power bank, in one device. We ship it to your address 2 days before you fly. You take it on your trip. You drop it back in the prepaid envelope when you're home.

What's in the box

The Noomi device itself, three built-in cables (USB-C, Lightning-compatible, Micro-USB), and a prepaid return envelope. No SIM card to insert, no eSIM QR to activate, no setup instructions to read.

How do I turn it on?

Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds. The device finds the local carrier and starts broadcasting Wi-Fi — the first connection in a new destination can take up to 7 minutes, and only that first time. To join, scan the Wi-Fi QR on the back of the device, or pick the Noomi network and enter the password printed beside the QR.

The step-by-step, with the indicator-light legend, is on how to use your Noomi.

Do I need to install an app?

No. There's nothing to install, nothing to sign in to, no account to manage from the device side. Your Noomi account at noomi.travel/me handles booking + receipts; the device itself is a self-contained hotspot.

Does it work in every country?

Noomi covers 200+ destinations. See the country list for the full breakdown and per-country pricing.
